“I was born and raised on Nantucket as were my parents and all but one grandparent. I left the island to work for a few winters, always returning for summer work. After graduating from college, I returned to Nantucket and took a job at Nantucket Cottage Hospital from 1991-1998. During that time, I would fill in, as needed, for Maryjane Halliday, the dietitian at Our Island Home. Maryjane retired from OIH in 1997 and I was hired, making this my 25th year at OIH. I am married, have 3 grown children, live in Sconset, and also do part time gardening work for a few customers in Sconset.

I have always appreciated the diligence and dedication of the Friends of Our Island Home. Their efforts truly make a wonderful difference for our residents. I am so pleased to now be a part of this amazing group.”
