Arlene O’Reilly made Nantucket her home in 1992 after working for her family’s hotel businesses during the summers of the 1980s. Caring for seniors has always been close to her heart, with her mother and grandmother both residents of Our Island Home. Her passion for caring for older people was sparked by seeing a close friend struggle with aging and memory issues. Arlene serves on the Nantucket Council on Aging as the Secretary and has volunteered her time to assist older adults with cyber scams and computer issues. She has also donated consulting and development services to multiple nonprofits. Her 30-years of experience in running her advertising and marketing agency, coupled with her master’s degree in communication design, adds to her list of accomplishments. Arlene also co-founded a tech company specializing in custom programming and AI.
